About Fremont, California
Located at the southernmost base of Alameda County, Fremont is a city situated just northwest of Milpitas. It was incorporated on January 23, 1956 and is named after American explorer John Charles Fremont.
The city of around 220,000 residents is the fourth largest city in the Bay Area, based on population.
